About the game

What you do in a play session

In Oros, you take on the role of a Demigod sent to teach humanity the wisdom of the mountains. To achieve this, you'll manipulate the very earth itself, shaping mountains, creating volcanoes, and moving land tiles as if they were pieces of a giant puzzle. It's a strategy game with a fascinating action economy where every move counts!

Each player has their own player mat to manage their followers and available actions. You'll use these followers to move land tiles, cause volcanoes to erupt (yes, you read that right!), worship to gain wisdom, and build sacred sites. This wisdom not only helps you improve your actions throughout the game but also scores points at the end. Interaction primarily occurs through manipulating the shared game board, where one player's actions can completely alter the landscape for others.

The game features a ziggurat-shaped timer that advances as you build sacred sites. When a player reaches the top, the game concludes, and scores are tallied. Oros shines with its tile-shifting and colliding mechanics, turning each turn into a challenge of abstract thinking and problem-solving. With so many upgrade options and distinct strategies, every game promises to be unique and full of tactical decisions. If you enjoy games with a touch of mythology, spatial puzzles, and significant board interaction, Oros might be your next obsession!
