Palabrero is a Spanish word game that tests your ability to form words with the letters in your hand. Over seven rounds, the number of cards increases, starting with 4 and reaching 10 in the final round. Each turn, you can draw a card from the deck or from one of the two discard piles. If you can form a word (or words) with all your cards and still have some left to discard, you can 'go out,' leaving the other players with just one more turn to score. Watch out for unused cards, as they give negative points! Once per game, you can shout 'Palabrero!' if you think you'll be the first to go out in the round. If you're right, your points double; if wrong, they're halved. The game also has optional bonuses, like longest word or most words, and the cards have a special distribution for Spanish (RR, LL, Ñ, etc.). The player with the most points after seven rounds wins!
