About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for a duel of historical proportions! In Partisans vs Chetniks: Yugoslavia Divided, you and your opponent dive into the chaos of occupied Yugoslavia during World War II. On one side, the communist Partisans; on the other, the royalist Chetniks. The goal? It's not just about winning battles, but about seizing legitimacy and popular support in a total war setting.

This is an intense strategic card duel unfolding across three distinct phases of the war, from 1941 to 1945. The gameplay is high-tension because actions are simultaneous: you choose your command cards (whether military or political) at the same time as your opponent. This creates that delicious 'what is he going to do next?' feeling. You can use your cards to issue strategic orders or trigger historical events that can completely shift the course of the conflict.

Winning requires both strategy and reading your opponent. There are two paths to victory: you can focus on accumulating 20 Legitimacy points (by controlling regions and completing objectives) or aim for a decisive military victory by controlling six out of the eight map regions by the end of the final phase. It's a game of constant tension, where territorial control and political influence go hand in hand. If you love small-scale wargames filled with strategy and political maneuvering, this card duel is your next obsession!
