Pounce

Pounce is a super fast-paced, travel-friendly party game created by Big Potato Games. It's designed for 2 to 6 players aged 8 and up, and the goal is to test your reflexes and quick thinking in matches lasting around 20 minutes. The game comes with eighty double-sided cards: one side features a letter, and the other a category. Each round, the current player deals a number of cards equal to the player count, face-up with the letter side showing, in the center of the table. Then, one player flips a card to reveal a category, and that's when the madness begins! All players race to think of a word that fits the category and starts with one of the visible letters on the table. As soon as someone shouts a valid word, they must be quick and grab the corresponding letter card to add it to their personal collection. This mechanic ensures that almost everyone gets a card each round, except for the slowest participant, who gets nothing. Rounds continue in this frantic manner, with players accumulating letters. The first person to collect enough letter cards to successfully spell a word of five letters or more wins the game. It's guaranteed fun for anyone who enjoys a mental agility and vocabulary challenge!
