Get ready to relive the Battle of Britain, but with a twist: you're in it alone! RAF is a solitaire game that puts you in command of the Royal Air Force and its allies, like the Commonwealth, Poland, and Czechoslovakia. The goal? Position your air patrols where you think the Luftwaffe will strike and intercept the Nazi bombers before they wreak havoc.
The game uses a cool card system to simulate German attacks. These cards hide the strength, composition, and targets until the last moment, forcing you to make tough decisions with limited information. You have to manage your scarce resources and decide if it's worth risking your squadrons to defend crucial targets. Every day, the pressure mounts as German bombers try to bring England to its knees.
RAF simulates everything from radar warnings (or lack thereof!) to weather and observer corps. The map covers southern England, with graphics of airfields, industrial sites, and ports. You control the decisions that could change the course of history, and the game offers three scenarios covering the entire Battle of Britain from start to finish. It can take anywhere from 3 to 10 hours to play, depending on your strategy and dice luck. It's a game that demands attention and offers an immersive and challenging experience for fans of historical wargames and aerial simulations.
