About the game

What you do in a play session

Step right up, folks! Rattlebones invites you to its fabulous Festival of Dice! The concept here is simple and brilliant: you start with basic dice and, throughout the game, you'll upgrade them by swapping faces to create personalized scoring machines. Every time you score points, you get closer to finding Rattlebones and, potentially, winning the game! Each turn, you roll a die (or more, if you spend some gold) and use the result. If Rattlebones appears, he moves backward on the board, and if he lands on a player's score marker, the game ends, and the player with the most points wins. If a number comes up, you move your pawn and can even swap a face on the die you used for a new one, inspired by the space you landed on. Plus, there are other faces that grant special actions, like stealing points, gaining tokens, or even direct VPs. The board is modular, so each game features a different layout, ensuring the fun is always fresh. It's a light game with a touch of luck and plenty of strategy in customizing your dice. Perfect for those who enjoy rolling dice and seeing their odds change with each throw, in an exciting race against other players and Rattlebones himself!
