About the game
Get ready to dive into the chaotic and hilarious world of software development with Release at Any Cost! In this electrifying card game, you and your friends take on the roles of release managers, competing to be the first to launch a crucial set of code components – Frontend, Backend, and Database – into your release zone. But don't think it'll be easy: the IT world is full of surprises, and your opponents will do everything they can to sabotage your progress with bugs, issues, and direct attacks. The goal is simple: either be the first to successfully deliver all three components, or be the last release manager standing after a war of sabotages and random events. Each turn is a race against time and against other players. You can play as many cards as you want from your hand to build your releases or disrupt others' plans, draw a card from the deck at any point to replenish your options, and then pass your turn. Stay sharp, as newly launched releases are perfect targets for instant sabotage attacks, which can be defended with the right cards. The game shines with its strategic hand management for assembling releases, direct attacks that add spice to the interaction, and random events that ensure no two games are ever the same. Git-themed cards allow for deck manipulation, adding a layer of strategic depth, while AI trigger cards pull unpredictable events from a separate deck, raising the level of chaos and risk. If you've ever worked in IT, you'll relate to the humor; if not, you'll have a blast with the adrenaline!
