About the game
What you do in a play session
In Relic Hunters, you and your friends transform into fearless explorers, ready to brave a mysterious island full of ancient relics. But hold on, unearthing these treasures isn't an easy task and requires a good team! Fortunately, there are plenty of folks willing to join your expedition, as long as you have some coins for their fee. No cash? No problem! A good dose of exploration can yield the necessary funds to hire the best adventurers. Your objective is simple yet challenging: lead your team to the north of the island, uncover its secrets, and be the first to find the hidden relics before your rivals do. Throughout the game, you'll use cards from your deck to move your meeples across a modular board of hexagonal tiles. Each time you step onto a new tile, it's revealed, potentially offering immediate rewards, indicating a dig site that requires more cards to explore, or, perhaps, revealing one of the precious relics you're so eagerly seeking. Keep an eye on your deck and your hand, as intelligent card management is crucial for the success of your expedition. If your hand is weak or you need more options, you can always return to base camp to buy new cards and strengthen your deck. The fastest and most efficient player to unearth the relics takes home the victory!
