About the game
What you do in a play session
If you think a neighborhood dog's life is peaceful, think again! In Rescue CoCo, the entire street is in an uproar to see who can get their hands on the adorable CoCo. The game is a delightful, fast-paced mess full of twists, where you take on the role of a dog-napper, a protector, or just a natural-born bluffer trying to fool everyone. The premise is simple: whoever holds the pup when the draw pile runs out wins. But make no mistake, the path there is mined with sabotage.
Each player starts with five cards and the freedom to play as many as they like on their turn. You can try to steal CoCo from another player, but watch out: someone might have a Kennel card up their sleeve to block your move, or worse, an Unlock card to foil your defense. The game really shines in the bluffing department. With the Howl card, you force whoever holds CoCo (or the decoy wolf!) to bark. If you have a good poker face, you can make your opponent believe they are taking the dog, when they are actually carrying a hungry wolf. And if things get too heated, the Dog Whistle sends poor CoCo back into the draw pile, resetting the chaos.
The vibe is pure fun. There is even a Police card that can end the game instantly if played at the perfect moment after a failed theft. It is the kind of game to play with friends without fear, perfect for those who enjoy direct interaction and seeing friends fall into traps. Since matches last between 15 and 30 minutes, it is the ideal filler to warm up the table or for those moments when no one wants anything too serious. Prepare your best poker face, practice your barks, and try not to be the target. In Rescue CoCo, loyalty is a relative concept and the next "Woof Woof!" might be the last before you lose control of the game.
