About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready to tear up some real (or almost real!) money in Rip Off! This game offers a unique experience that will test your visual perception and your ability to cut costs. The idea is simple: you have a fake bill and you need to use it to cover the items you want to buy each round. The catch? You have to tear pieces off your own bill to do it! Each piece you cut is a piece less you'll have to cover future expenses. The challenge lies in tearing off a piece of just the right size to cover the desired items, without wasting paper. The more you use now, the less you'll have later. At the end of the game, whoever has the largest remaining piece of the bill is the big winner. It's a fast-paced game, lasting about 15 minutes, perfect for playing with 2 to 6 people, from kids to adults. The paper-tearing mechanic is super novel and leads to plenty of laughs and tense decisions. If you enjoy games with a touch of dexterity that challenge your visual perception in a fun and unexpected way, Rip Off is a sure bet!

How long does a game of Rip Off take?
A game is super fast, usually between 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the number of players and how indecisive they get when tearing!
What's the game's complexity? Is it hard to learn?
Not at all! The rules are very simple, and you'll get the hang of it in under 5 minutes. The challenge is more in the execution and the cutting strategy.
What kind of player is this game for?
It's perfect for anyone looking for something different, not complicated, but still offering interesting decisions. Good for families, friends, and even for casual gamers.
What comes in the box?
Basically, you'll have the paper bills to tear and the cards with the objects to cover. It's a very straightforward game.
Can I play with kids?
Absolutely! Kids usually love the paper-tearing part and the visual nature of the game. They might just need a little help understanding the strategy of not wasting too much.
What if I tear the bill incorrectly?
Ah, that's part of the fun! If you tear off too big a piece, you'll have less for the future. It's a mistake that quickly teaches you to be more careful next time.
