You know that feeling when everything is going great in your city and suddenly a giant problem appears? Literally! The Rolling Heights Kickstarter Promo Pack adds an extra spice to your metropolis with the 'Angry Ape' expansion, a chaotic and fast-paced mini-game that turns the end of the match into a true urban survival battle. Forget calculated strategy for a moment: here, the rules are dexterity and pure fun.
The gameplay is simple and hilarious. Once the main game ends, the overall winner takes on the role of the giant ape. Their goal? Simple: knock down all the high-rise buildings in the city. Meanwhile, the other players unite as desperate defenders trying to capture the beast before the city turns into a pile of rubble. The game happens in rounds where the 'ape' throws their figure against the map, trying to topple the towers. Then, they position themselves on top of a building. The defenders then try to knock them off by throwing worker figures. If they manage to knock the ape off three times, the city is saved! Otherwise, if all high-rise buildings fall, the beast wins.
In addition to this 3-to-5-minute mini-game, the pack also delivers five new exclusive building tiles designed by John D. Clair. The cool detail is that each of these buildings is inspired by other games created by the designer for AEG, serving as an 'easter egg' for those who enjoy the author's trajectory. It's the perfect complement for those who want an explosive and laughter-filled conclusion to their game session, turning the winner's victory into a physical challenge against all other players.
