About the game
Grab your eye patch and ready your sails, because Ruthless is here to bring a little organized chaos to your next game night! If you're a pirate enthusiast who loves watching a deck grow into a powerhouse, this game is your true north. The premise is straightforward but deep: you're assembling an elite pirate crew while trying to avoid getting plundered by your fellow players.

The engine driving everything is deck building. Every turn, you'll play cards from your hand to trigger actions—whether that's launching an attack on an opponent, grabbing more resources, or simply buying better cards to strengthen your deck. But it's not just about the pirates! You'll also be managing treasure cards. Here’s where the real strategy kicks in: do you discard the treasure immediately for quick gold to buy a new pirate, or do you add it to your deck to reap recurring bonuses throughout the game? It's that delicious 'short-term vs. long-term' tactical dilemma we all crave.

As you build your deck, you'll also recruit crew members who sit on the table, ready to be activated. The real tension peaks at the end of each round. The game utilizes poker-style combinations to determine the strength of your crew in play. That's right—you'll need a keen eye to build the strongest hands and win the naval battles. The player with the most formidable crew wins the fight and claims the lion's share of the points. After a few rounds of intense competition, the player with the most points is crowned the ruler of the seas. It's fast, it's punchy, and just like the name suggests, it can be absolutely ruthless!
