You know that friend who only thinks about themselves? Well, this game is all about them! Saboteur: Selfish Dwarf is a highly specific and hilarious expansion that injects absolute chaos into your game night. Originally released as a promotional card for the 2016 Saboteur World Championship, it introduces a brand-new archetype to the mines: the Selfish Dwarf.

Forget teamwork for a second. While the miners are busy trying to cooperate to reach the gold, the Selfish Dwarf is playing a completely different game. They don't care if the team wins or if the saboteurs succeed; they only care about securing the loot for themselves. To win, this player must be the one to complete the path, placing the final card that connects the starting staircase to the gold. If they pull off this heroic (or purely greedy) feat, they claim all the gold nuggets single-handedly, leaving the other miners empty-handed!

However, it's a high-stakes gamble. If the miners win the round but the Selfish Dwarf failed to personally complete the connection, they get nothing from the gold distribution. It adds a delicious layer of paranoia to the table. Now, besides watching out for saboteurs, you'll also need to keep a close eye on that one miner who seems to be working a little too hard... or perhaps a little too fast to ensure the prize goes only to them!
