About the game
What you do in a play session
Scotland Yard: The Hunt for Mister X is the turbo version of a classic. Instead of a long chase across London, the game opens the trail in just 10 to 20 minutes, perfect for those who want a quick challenge without losing the adrenaline. One player takes on the role of Mister X, the most feared criminal in London, and must move from point to point using taxis, buses, or subways. The rest of the group steps into the shoes of detectives – the rest of the team – and tries to intercept the fugitive. The twist? Instead of keeping Mister X hidden all the time, here he’s almost always on the map, so the chase is completely open. What adds extra spice is the black ticket: once per game Mister X can board a boat to cross the river or move secretly, trying to outwit the police. While the detectives advance, they hand over the travel tickets that Mister X uses – each ticket is worth victory points. In the end, whoever has the most points wins. The point‑to‑point movement mechanic is simple, but the strategy of choosing routes and swapping tickets creates constant tension. The game works well for 2 to 4 players, with a one‑against‑many dynamic that keeps everyone on edge. If you love mystery, chase, and a touch of quick strategy, Scotland Yard: The Hunt for Mister X will hook you. It’s ideal for game nights when time is short, but the grin of the one who captures the fugitive is guaranteed.
