About the game

What you do in a play session

Sky Tango is one of those card games that seems simple at first glance, but hooks you with its strategy and constant interaction. The goal is to build numerical sequences of sun or moon cards, representing the passage of time. The catch is that you can build these stacks in your own area or in front of your opponents, which opens up plenty of room for strategy and, of course, for messing with whoever is ahead of you. Each stack needs to reach five cards to be collected and scored, but the path is anything but linear.

The real spice of the game comes from the eclipse cards. They act as 'blockers' that can halt the progress of a stack, forcing players to deal with this interruption before they can complete their sequence. It’s all about timing: you need to know the exact moment to complete your stack or place an eclipse in an opponent's path to delay their scoring. Additionally, there are animal cards that grant an extra action. Playing an animal card allows you to go again, which can be a masterstroke to accelerate your score or a total backfire if you don't have the right cards in hand.

The experience is quite dynamic and fast-paced, perfect for casual gaming sessions where nobody wants to spend hours reading complex manuals. Interaction is the highlight, as you are always keeping an eye on what others are building. If you enjoy games that mix hand management with a dash of 'take that' (that mean but fun interaction), Sky Tango will fit perfectly on your table. It’s a game that balances luck and decision-making, where victory goes to those who best manage their resources and their opponents' timing. Get ready to see the sun and the moon change hands several times before the game ends!
