About the game
What you do in a play session
On your turn, you have two options: either boost a company by adding more of its locomotives to the board (and connecting cities, which are worth points!), or you can trade a locomotive from your hand for one or two from the reserve. The map of France is the stage for this competition, with cities being worth more and the countryside worth zero – so, strategy is the name of the game!
The game ends when a company reaches Marseille or when only one company has pieces left in the reserve. The final scoring is where the magic happens: the value of each company at the end of the game is multiplied by the number of shares (locomotives) you hold for it. In other words, it's not enough to just build the biggest network; you need to have the right stocks in hand! It's a quick game with easy-to-learn rules, but it makes you think hard about managing your shares and influencing company values. Perfect for those who enjoy an economic and route-building game without the fuss.
