About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready to build your own railway network in the southeastern United States with Southern Rails! This game immerses you in the world of railroads and stock markets, in a style very characteristic of Winsome Games. Each turn, you'll choose where to place a track segment for one of the companies you hold stock in. The goal is to expand your network, connecting cities and increasing railroad revenue. Each city has a color and a value, and placing your tracks in them earns money. But pay attention: the game isn't just about placing cubes on the map! When a railroad reaches a certain milestone, scoring occurs. This is where things get interesting: who has the most revenue, who used the fewest shares, who covered the most territory, or who connected the most cities of a specific color? However, there's a catch: if there's a tie in any category, nobody gets the points! This means you need to be strategic not only in your expansion but also in how you disrupt others' plans. After scoring, player order changes, and you can still buy more stock before the next building round. The game ends after the fourth scoring round, and whoever has the most points, of course, is the big winner. Southern Rails is an economic game with route building, perfect for those who enjoy forward-thinking and dealing with market unpredictability.

How many players can participate?
The game is for 3 to 5 players, working best with a larger group to increase competition for routes and stocks.
