About the game

What you do in a play session

Space Privateer Command puts you in the captain's seat of a space freighter, hopping from planet to planet to buy and sell goods. Each world has a dice‑based price table, so the trick is spotting cheap buys and high‑sell markets while keeping an eye on fuel and cargo space. Beyond daily trade, the game offers a mix of missions: hunt pirates, destroy enemy freighters, escort VIPs, or deliver food to starving colonies. Jobs appear on the "job seeker computer" and completing them boosts your reputation, unlocking later story scenarios. Earnings (Kredts) let you upgrade the ship – swap turret guns, add missiles, or hire crew members that grant combat and event bonuses. If you’re feeling rogue, you can smuggle contraband or raid defenseless freighters, though the local militia will come after you. Combat happens during the orbital phase, where you roll combat dice to deal damage or try to bribe your way out. The game uses 18 cards covering planets, missions, and upgrades, all fitting in a compact box for a 60‑80 minute solo session. While the rules are straightforward, the blend of trade, combat, and moral choices gives a semi‑open‑world space vibe, making each playthrough feel unique.
