About the game
Spaceflight: The Board Game thrusts you and up to three friends into a sci‑fi setting where interplanetary civilizations vie for galactic supremacy. At the start of each game, a randomly generated set of alien powers joins the Galactic Council, each granting a unique worker‑placement action and its own influence track. You can choose to specialize in a handful of factions for bigger rewards or spread your influence across many to rack up steady victory points. With the Council changing every session, the strategic landscape is always shifting.

On the board, you deploy workers to harvest resources, develop tech, recruit troops, and trigger conflicts. Some resources grow automatically over time, while key locations offer powerful long‑term bonuses that attract fierce competition. Military skirmishes are voluntary but highly lucrative: when you trigger a conflict, all players secretly commit soldiers in a tense simultaneous bid for tiered rewards. Even the losing side can walk away with resources or tech, turning every clash into a tactical calculation rather than a pure gamble.

Tech cards deepen the system, offering permanent upgrades, political maneuvers, or combat tricks that can be played at pivotal moments. Midway through the game, a galactic crisis erupts, permanently reshaping the galaxy’s rules—altering political alliances, forcing mandatory wars, or disrupting the economy—and propelling the game into a dramatic final phase. Victory is earned by reaching 10 victory points, gained through council influence, conflict rewards, and technological achievements.

There’s no single path to triumph; the most powerful civilizations blend diplomacy, economic planning, and military might to secure their place at the top of the galaxy. If you enjoy strategic competition, long‑term decisions, and a dynamic space setting, Spaceflight delivers hours of tension and discovery. Get ready to navigate alliances, battles, and tech innovations as you try to leave your mark on intergalactic history.
