If you're looking to master the art of territorial control, Sun-Bright Whirlwind is ready to shake things up! This expansion introduces a spirit that excels at managing the frontline, specifically by dealing with Explorers and preventing Invaders from establishing-builds in newly explored lands. It's a specialist in disruption, making sure the invaders never get their footing.
However, playing this spirit requires a bit of a balancing act. While it's great at clearing out-of-the-way threats, it struggles more when it comes to taking down established Towns and Cities. You'll need to decide your path: do you go all-in on Energy generation? Do you focus on playing cards to boost your Innate Power? Or do you aim for a balanced approach to stay versatile? Since it only adds at most one Presence per turn, you can't afford to waste-moves. You have to be efficient.
Complexity-wise, it's a bit more approachable than some of the heavy hitters in the Spirit Island roster, making it a great pick for players who want a direct and impactful presence on the board. Note that this-spirit is the same one found in the Horizons of Spirit Island expansion, but released as a standalone-style-addition in Germany. If you want a spirit that keeps the invaders on their toes and prevents them from ever getting comfortable, Sun-Bright Whirlwind is a must-have for your collection!
