About the game
What you do in a play session
The Hired Guns Villain Pack adds two mercenary operatives to the Imperial Assault universe, ready to fight for the highest bidder. They join the Mercenaries faction as expendable units, ideal for opening assaults or shielding more powerful figures. The expansion brings three new Agenda cards that introduce an extra campaign mission, giving the story mode fresh variety. In skirmish mode you receive a new map set in the sewers of Nar Shaddaa, two brand‑new missions, and four Command cards that let you retreat from trouble or push the enemy back when your units are wiped out. Familiar mechanics – campaign‑driven cards, dice rolling, modular board, variable player powers – remain, now enriched with new tactical challenges and narrative options. With a light weight (2.5/5) and a playtime of 60‑120 minutes, the pack is approachable for small groups and longer sessions alike. If you already love Imperial Assault, the Hired Guns are a fun boost that expands both campaign and skirmish play without a steep learning curve. New players should note the pack requires the core game to function. In short, more characters, more maps, and more cards make the galaxy even more chaotic.
