Get ready for a quick and intense card duel in SUMO! In this game, you and your opponent face off in a virtual ring, where the goal is to push the opponent out. The stage is a ring with three positions: left, center, and right. The sumo wrestler card starts in the center, and each of you sits on one side. With a compact deck of 20 cards (numbers 1-5 in four suits), each player receives eight cards. Each round, you play a card to try and win the trick. In the first trick, the highest card decides; in case of a tie, play again until someone wins or all cards are used. If all are used, shuffle and deal again! The winner of the trick pushes the sumo wrestler card away from them. If you manage to push the wrestler out of the ring, victory is yours! Otherwise, the game continues until the last trick, and whoever wins it, wins the game. But beware, there are more spectacular ways to win: the 'Abise-taoshi' (playing a 4 of the same suit after a 1), the 'Hikiotoshi' (playing a 1 of the same suit after a 5), and the 'Wucchari' (playing a 2 of a different suit when the wrestler is at the edge). A game of pure strategy and timing, perfect for those who enjoy quick duels and trick-taking mechanics.
