In Sunrise Lane, you become the construction tycoon, ready to build the next hot neighborhood in town! The goal is simple: pick the best plots and build houses and buildings that will score points. The board is a grid full of spaces, each with a number of colored dots. Your cards also have colors, but don't worry, the space's color is what matters for building there. On your turn, you can draw two new cards for your hand (but only five fit!) or discard cards of the same color as the space to place your buildings. The more cards you discard of the right color, the more of your pieces can go on the plot, and scoring is based on the space's dot count multiplied by your pieces. The trick is that you can build multiple times in a row, as long as each new building is adjacent to the previous one. The game speeds up and ends when someone has few pieces left in their supply. Then comes the final scoring: some districts award points to those who built highest, others to those who built the most houses, and there are even bonuses for connecting the most buildings in sequence. It's a fast-paced game with a dash of strategy in hand management and area control, perfect for those who enjoy watching a neighborhood grow before their eyes.
