How to Play Terraforming Mars: Prelude 2

Game Objective

Terraforming Mars: Prelude 2 is an expansion that must be played alongside the Prelude expansion. The main goal is to collaborate in transforming Mars into a habitable planet, using Prelude cards with special actions and effects. Consult the manual for details on this section.

Setup

To prepare the game, follow these steps:

• Separate the cards according to the expansion indicators. If a card belongs to an expansion that is not in play, discard it and draw another.
• Prelude and corporation cards have their own decks and discard piles. Cards discarded during setup or gameplay are placed face down.
• If you run out of corporation or Prelude cards, shuffle the corresponding discard pile.

Variant: Expanded Start: During setup, players may choose from 3 corporations and 6 preludes instead of 2 and 4.

Actions and How to Play

Some Prelude cards have effects or actions, functioning similarly to blue cards, but they do not count as blue cards for milestones or awards effects.
