About the game

What you do in a play session

Tetra Tower, also marketed as Equili Tetris, is a fast‑paced, chaotic game that blends logical thinking, hand‑eye coordination, and just enough tension to keep everyone on the edge of their seats. At the start of each round a deck of illustrated cards is shuffled; when a card is revealed, all players see the shape they must place on a moving platform that swings like a pendulum. The pieces are colorful, 3‑D blocks reminiscent of Tetris. Players take turns trying to fit their piece without toppling the tower. With each placement the stack grows, the centre of gravity shifts, and the structure becomes increasingly unstable. The player who drops a piece or the entire base is eliminated, and the last person still keeping the tower upright wins. A typical game lasts 5‑15 minutes, making it perfect for party breaks or as a filler between longer sessions. It supports 1‑10 players, so you can play solo (trying to beat your own record) or with a large group, where the fun multiplies. While the rules are simple, there is a hint of strategy: watching which cards have already been played and choosing the optimal spot for your piece to avoid creating weak points. Still, the draw of the card and manual skill dominate, keeping the game accessible to kids and adults alike. Components consist of sturdy plastic pieces and laminated paper cards, all well‑fitted and easy to clean. With a BGG weight of 1/5, Tetra Tower offers light rules and a shallow learning curve. It’s ideal for fans of dexterity challenges, quick‑play games, and that “will it fall now?” suspense.
