Prepare for a diva showdown in the opera world with "The Battle of the Divas"! In this two-player game, you and your rival step into the shoes of the legendary Maria Callas and Renata Tebaldi, battling to leave the most indelible mark on the history of lyric music. Each match sees you staging memorable operas, accumulating fame, and reliving crucial moments that shaped your careers and legacies. The goal is straightforward: outscore your opponent! To achieve this, you can focus on performing iconic operas in the most coveted theaters, masterfully managing your diva cards—which bring historical events, unique abilities, and career milestones—or hone your vocal and piano techniques to unlock new musical opportunities. Controlling influence within the orchestra and fame in the theaters also grants strategic advantages and the chance to manipulate the timeline. The game concludes after five operas have been performed, at which point points from theaters, the orchestra, the piano, and the timeline are tallied. Will Callas' overwhelming charisma or Tebaldi's vocal perfection reign supreme? Only the stage will tell! This is the second title in Salt & Pepper Games' "Battles without bullets" series, following "The Battle of Versailles".
