About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for a frantic race across Middle-earth with "The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – Race Across Harad", the second Adventure Pack in the Haradrim cycle! In this expansion, you and your fellow heroes embark on a perilous journey through the deserts of Harad, mounted on majestic oliphaunts. You've barely started the adventure when you feel danger approaching: the howls of wargs and the imminent threat of orcs. The new scenario places you in the shoes of heroes who must flee from warg riders and their accurate arrows, using the brute force of the oliphaunts to speed towards the Ford of Harnen. The big twist here is that enemies can pursue you directly from your staging area, turning the escape into a race against time – you need to progress through the quest stages faster than the orcs advance behind you!

In addition to this electrifying chase, "Race Across Harad" brings a new Dúnedain hero, a Lore specialist, to join your team. And it doesn't stop there: there are nine different player cards, each with three copies, ready to boost your strategies. These cards support a variety of existing mechanics, such as Mounts and Side Quests, as well as offering new options for dealing with the "Doomed" keyword and for exploring events that reward specific combinations of "Traits". If you enjoy the base game and want more cooperative challenges with an engaging theme and mechanics that keep you on the edge of your seat, this expansion is a must-have. It's time to accelerate and prove that your heroes are faster than the shadow of Mordor!
