About the game
What you do in a play session
Get your deck ready, because the shadow of Mordor is creeping closer to Gondor! If you're already deep into the 'Against the Shadow' cycle, 'The Drúadan Forest' adventure pack is your mandatory next step. The plot moves away from the dark alleys of Minas Tirith and heads straight into the wild, where Middle-earth's heroes must hunt Sauron's agents through untamed territory.
But don't assume the danger only comes from the villains you're chasing. Entering the forest, your fellowship encounters the Woses—those reclusive, wild folk who aren't exactly thrilled about strangers. This new scenario introduces the 'Prowl' mechanism to the encounter deck, meaning the environment itself can be just as treacherous as your enemies. With 60 new cards in total (20 unique cards with three copies each), this pack expands the lore of Gondor and brings fresh tactical challenges to your table.
The game maintains that intense cooperative vibe where hand management is the thin line between a heroic victory and a catastrophic defeat. This expansion focuses heavily on narrative and testing your group's ability to adapt to unexpected threats. If you love the feeling of living through a Tolkien chapter, where the setting acts as a living, breathing, and dangerous character, this pack is for you. Just a friendly heads-up: keep a translator handy, as the language dependency is high and the text is quite dense!
