About the game

What you do in a play session

Get your decks ready and sharpen your strategy, because the journey continues! The Three Trials is the second Adventure Pack of 'The Ring-maker' cycle for the acclaimed The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game. This time, the story plunges us deep into the heart of Dunland, where tension is high and danger lurks around every corner. The mission? Assist the White Wizard in his efforts to forestall the shadow of Mordor, but the path is far from easy. To succeed, your heroes must undergo three deadly trials, defeat ferocious Dunlending Guardian spirits, and recover the legendary Antlered Crown, an ancient Dunlending artifact.

But it's not just about the new scenario. If you feel your deck needs an upgrade, this pack is exactly what you need. It delivers 60 cards in total, including three copies of each of the 20 brand-new cards. This allows you to add much-needed consistency to your decks, featuring new Elven allies and vital support for the 'Secrecy' keyword, which fundamentally changes how you hide your trump cards from the enemy. Plus, a new hero is introduced to expand the group's tactical options.

The game maintains that high-stakes cooperative atmosphere where every card played can be the difference between an epic victory or total defeat. If you enjoy complex deck-building and facing challenges that require total coordination with your partners, this pack is an essential step in the campaign. The atmosphere of Dunland is oppressive and the trials are, as the name suggests, brutal. Do your heroes have the courage and the strategy required to claim the keys and survive the Ring-maker cycle? Middle-earth is counting on you!
