About the game

What you do in a play session

Trouble in Tharbad is the third 60‑card expansion in the The Ring‑maker cycle, following heroes on a quest for vital intel for the White Wizard. The scenario drops players into the ruined city of Tharbad, where orcs and Mordor spies lurk. The goal is to keep dwarf Nalir alive, who holds key information, and deliver it to Saruman. Players must manage their hand, decide when to attack or defend, and leverage each hero’s unique abilities. The expansion introduces a new Silvan hero, strengthens Gondor cards, and adds the “Doomed X” mechanic to heighten tension by lowering threat levels. It remains fully compatible with all LCG decks, letting collectors expand their collections while staying thematically consistent. If you love Tolkien’s epic tales and team play against unpredictable challenges, Trouble in Tharbad delivers an immersive, strategic, twist‑filled adventure.
