About the game

What you do in a play session

Brace yourself for a tense experience in The Plum Island Horror! This cooperative game for 1 to 4 players challenges you and your crew to use every ounce of strategy to defend the island from a sinister threat. Taking control of unique factions, each with its own strengths and weaknesses, coordination is key not only to survive but also to successfully evacuate the besieged city and contain an outbreak that cannot escape. The game blends tactical unit management with the adrenaline rush of tower defense, where with each round, tension mounts as cubes are drawn that can activate your heroes, the fearsome horrors, or a 'Doom Impending' event. If a horror cube is drawn, prepare to spawn more monsters based on a fate card; if the 'Doom Impending' cube appears, an unexpected event can turn the tide. The variable turn order system, with cubes drawn from a bag, ensures each playthrough is unpredictable. In solo mode, you'll control two factions, and in multiplayer games, communication and synergy between factions are crucial for success. With six distinct factions to choose from, each with its own leader, basic units, and a compound unit, replayability is guaranteed. The fight for survival on Plum Island is intense, and victory, or defeat, will be shared by all.
