About the game
In The Towers of Arkhanos, you and your fellow mages are summoned to an epic challenge: construct colossal arcane towers in the ruins of Gil-Garoth, a mystical site where magic flows like never before! Archmage Arkhanos discovered this power source, and now the magic schools of Drunagor are in a race to prove who is the most prestigious. Your objective is simple yet full of strategy: channel the energy of ancient civilizations using magic stones (dice) and applying powerful abilities from your spellbook. Each player takes control of a magic school, identified by distinct colors, and competes to be the most influential wizard in the realm. Each round, you will draft dice, allocate your apprentices and master to the towers under construction, and try to dominate areas to secure prestige points. The game is a true test of planning and adaptability, as with each die drafted, the situation on the board changes. The game unfolds over 8 rounds (or 9 in 3-player games), and at the end, all towers, even incomplete ones, yield points. Arcane influence in each tower is crucial: first place earns 3 points, second 2, and ties are worth 1 point. Additionally, each meeple you have in your magic book also contributes one prestige point. Whoever accumulates the most prestige points is crowned the greatest wizard of Drunagor. Do you have what it takes to don the robe and accept the challenge, or will you just be another forgotten legend by the magic high council?
