About the game
What you do in a play session
The Witcher: Adventure Game takes you on a trek through the rich universe created by Andrzej Sapkowski and refined in CD Projekt's video games. Each play session pits four iconic heroes – Geralt the monster hunter, Triss the clever sorceress, Yarpen the dwarf warrior, and Dandelion the charismatic bard – against missions that blend hunting, trading and intrigue. Every character has its own development deck, letting you specialize in elixirs, signs, diplomacy or brute force. Core mechanics are easy to pick up: action points limit what you can do each turn, movement happens across map areas, and custom icon dice resolve combat and checks. You’ll pick up and deliver resources, collect card sets, and wield unique powers that change the way you play. Quests range from slaying trolls, Nidhogg or leshens to bargaining gold with merchants and forging temporary alliances. Cooperation is possible, but only one player can win, so betrayals and alliances are constant decisions. The modular board, detailed miniatures and themed dice add immersion, while the low weight (2.4/5) keeps games around two hours from feeling grindy. If you love fantasy games with varied strategy and enjoy diving into The Witcher lore, this title offers plenty of replay value, as each hero opens different development paths. It’s perfect for 2‑4 players who like a mix of combat, resource management and a dash of role‑play without overly complex rules.
