About the game
What you do in a play session
Ticket to Ride Map Collection 6½: Poland arrives as the first expansion that dives into the Polish map, offering a fresh twist on the beloved franchise. The board depicts Polish cities and the borders with Germany, Ukraine and the Czech Republic, letting you build routes that cross national frontiers. The goal remains the classic: claim destination tickets and connect cities, but now you can extend your network into neighboring countries. Whenever you finish a connection that links two nations, you draw the top point card from that country's stack – the earlier you do it, the higher the points, because the cards are ordered descendingly. If your network later reaches a third country, you pull a card from each still‑available stack. Core mechanics stay the same – hand management of train cards, network building and set collection – with the addition of open drafting for the country point cards, adding a race element for who scores border connections first. A game runs 30‑60 minutes for 2‑4 players, and a BGG weight of 1.75 makes it easy to pick up, perfect for newcomers and veterans looking for a quick variation. Components include a sturdy fold‑out board, train cards, destination tickets, scoring markers and the new country point‑card decks. The artwork showcases Polish scenery, from Bialowieża Forest’s bison to the charming streets of Wrocław, blending tradition with modern design. In short, the expansion delivers the familiar Ticket to Ride fun with a geographic spin, encouraging border‑strategies and fast rewards for forward‑thinking players.
