About the game

What you do in a play session

Totemo is a vibrant 3‑dimensional building game that delights both kids and adults who enjoy a visual challenge. Each game starts with a board split into 5 × 5 grids where players stack specially designed colored blocks. The core rule is simple: a block may only touch blocks of the same color or of specific other colors – for instance, a purple block can be adjacent to purple, red, or blue. Every additional correct neighbor boosts the placement's score, so the more matching sides you get, the better. At the start, a few spaces on the scoring track are randomly marked as bonus spots; landing exactly on them grants extra points, delivering that satisfying "aha!" moment. Playtime runs between 30 and 45 minutes, and the light weight (1.6/5) means the rules are grasped in minutes. Components are high‑quality wooden or plastic pieces, easy to handle and eye‑catching, making the tactile experience even richer. Totemo blends abstract strategy with an educational twist, teaching color recognition and spatial thinking in a fun way. Perfect for family game nights, friend gatherings, or as a gateway for newcomers to the board‑gaming world.
