About the game
What you do in a play session
In Troika, we become these space adventurers with a clear goal: collect the right stones to survive and, who knows, get rich. The game works like this: you have a bunch of hexagonal tiles face down. On your turn, you can either draw a new tile that's hidden or pick one that someone has already returned to the table.
The challenge is to assemble two combinations: three stones with the same number (this is your fuel, essential to avoid becoming stardust) and three stones in numerical sequence (these turn into the coveted jewels). If you don't have fuel, forget it, you can't win. But if you have a full tank, then yes, whoever has the most valuable jewel takes the glory. It's a quick game, with a touch of luck and plenty of tense decisions: is it worth taking this piece now or waiting to see if something better comes along? And most importantly: will you have enough fuel to make it to the end?
