About the game

What you do in a play session

Twitch is a lightning‑fast card game that puts your focus and reflexes to the test. Each round starts with every player holding their own deck, and the goal is to be the first to empty your deck. When someone plays a card, it carries an instruction that points to a player – for example, "left" means the person on your left must react. As soon as the card is revealed, everyone must decide in a split second whether it applies to them. If the card points to you, you must instantly place the top card of your own deck onto the central pile. Anyone who hesitates and fails to act in time will be called out by another player and, as a penalty, must take the entire pile back into their deck. Each turn is a tiny sprint of decision‑making, and a full game usually lasts between 10 and 20 minutes, perfect for groups of 3 to 6 who enjoy short, intense sessions. There’s no heavy rulebook; it’s all about watching, interpreting the direction, and reacting quickly. The dynamic creates bursts of laughter, shouted accusations, and occasional friendly disputes, but always with the feeling that the game is hanging on a razor’s edge. Its lightweight and portable nature means you can play it almost anywhere – from coffee tables to weekend parties. While the mechanics are simple, the game demands constant attention, because a single slip can swing the entire outcome. If you love reflex challenges and enjoy the adrenaline rush of a game that never lets up, Twitch is the right pick.
