About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for another unnerving voyage aboard the SS Atlantica, because *Unfathomable: From the Abyss* is here to take the tension to a whole new level! This expansion plunges the ship and its passengers into even deeper peril, with new and terrifying monsters emerging from the Atlantic to assail the vessel. And it's not just the creatures that threaten: the ocean waters themselves have grown violent, ready to sweep passengers overboard. Furthermore, new treacheries lurk, and the mythos deck, now double in size, ensures that every turn brings a new and unpredictable danger to the Atlantica.

But don't despair, not all is lost! The humans aboard gain new tools to fight for survival. The expansion introduces eight brand-new playable characters, each with their own unique abilities. And the big news is the ally cards, which move independently around the ship, offering crucial support to keep the vessel afloat. Prelude cards, in three varieties, alter the initial game conditions, ensuring insane replayability – you'll never have two games play out the same way! With new skills, items, and the brand-new boon cards, the battle for the SS Atlantica's survival has never been fiercer. Rescuing passengers now rewards players with these valuable allies. Face three new 'horrors' – the Shoggoth, the Drowned Spirit, and the Grasping Tendril – each more dangerous than the last. *From the Abyss* expands upon the base game, delivering more of everything that makes *Unfathomable* such a thrilling and adrenaline-pumping experience!
