About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready to dive into one of the most complex conflicts in US history with *Vietnam: 1965-1975 (2nd Edition)*! This colossal wargame re-creates the Vietnam War in all its military and political detail, promising a deep simulation experience. Forget the idea that it's just about moving pieces: here you'll deal with search and destroy operations, special operations, firepower, airmobility and riverines, brigade-level formations, and even the limited intelligence of the era. The game is divided into smaller scenarios and epic campaigns, with each year of the war unfolding into four seasons, and each season into two turns, totaling roughly six weeks per turn. The enormous map covers approximately 6 miles per hex, and your units represent battalions or regiments. During the operational phase, players take turns performing actions to destroy the enemy, secure routes, capture cities, or simply reposition their troops. In campaigns, during each seasonal interphase, you decide which reinforcements and resources to bring to the battlefield. Featuring hidden VC units, national morale, pacification, and ARVN effectiveness, *Vietnam: 1965-1975* puts you in the shoes of those who lived and conducted the war. This second edition not only updates the rules and clarifies points but also upgrades the components, making the immersion even more tangible.
