About the game
What you do in a play session
Vivid Memories blends childhood nostalgia with strategic fun. Each player manages a board that represents their mind, placing colored tiles that symbolize memory fragments. In each round, pieces appear in a line of moments; you can choose to collect them or leave them for the next turn, thanks to Open Drafting. When you gather a set of tiles that form a pattern – for example, three same-colored tiles in a line – you earn special abilities that can be used at the end of the round. These abilities help connect more tiles or complete Core Memories, which grant recurring bonuses each round. The challenge lies in balancing the collection of pieces that give you immediate power with building longer sequences that yield long-term benefits. The hexagonal layout offers more movement options, making each choice feel more strategic. The game lasts 30‑45 minutes, works well with 2‑4 players, and has a moderate complexity level – just a bit of attention to possible combinations. If you enjoy games that require planning but still leave room for improvisation, Vivid Memories will surprise you.
