About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready for the most anticipated premiere day in the city with Take a Seat! The best musicals are competing to pack the theaters, and your mission is to ensure your production is a resounding success. How? By attracting and seating the audience in the best possible locations, especially celebrities, authorities, and the press, who wouldn't want to miss this glamorous event. Do you have what it takes to find the perfect seats and make your show shine? After all, the show must go on!
Take a Seat introduces a super interesting mechanic called Share & Write, which adds a touch of unpredictability through player interaction, rather than random dice rolls or cards. In each turn, you'll receive a reservation panel and have to decide: use the usher's special ability or secure some direct points? Then, it's time to mark a reservation on your neighbor's board (to your right or left, depending on the turn) by scratching one of the four tickets on your reservation panel. Finally, you'll assign seats in the theater by marking the outlines and circles corresponding to the pieces you selected. The game lasts for 14 turns, and at the end, scoring is calculated. There are three main ways to earn points: objective cards, reservation majorities (who dominates more areas), and usher bonuses. The player with the highest total score takes home the victory!
