Ever wondered what it's like to be a newly elected member of parliament? In Your Excellency: The Political Game, you step into those shoes and realize that keeping your seat in Congress is much harder than it looks. The goal is simple, but the execution is all about cunning: you must ensure your re-election at the end of a four-year term. To achieve this, you'll need to navigate a sea of privileges, shady alliances, and, of course, plenty of influence to attract voters and accumulate the funds needed to keep the political machine running.
This Second Edition is more than just a fresh coat of paint. The game has undergone a refinement process where several cards were replaced, modified, or rebalanced to make the experience smoother and fairer. In addition to the base deck of 130 cards, the box now includes the completely revamped Power Project expansion, adding 60 cards that introduce new mechanics and strategic possibilities for those aiming to dominate the political landscape.
The rulebook has been rewritten to be more educational and clear, making it easier for newcomers to jump in. For the veterans, the good news is that compatibility remains: you can still use the New Era, Public Calamity expansions, as well as the Tight Marking and Brazil's Centrists mini-expansions. All of this is housed in a larger box, which finally solves the struggle of trying to force all the content inside. Get ready to negotiate, push your luck, and do whatever it takes to avoid becoming just another forgotten name in the country's political history. Do you have what it takes to stay in power, or will you fall at the first scandal?
