About the game
What you do in a play session
In Web of Gold, you and your friends become fearless adventurers, diving into an abandoned mine in search of glittering treasures. Each of you carries a lantern, but watch out for the oil, as it's limited! The outer part of the mine is a true equipment market: look for extra torches, more oil for your lamp, or even mysterious mushrooms. Meanwhile, the depths of the labyrinth hold the coveted gold. The objective is simple: be the first to unearth six gold nuggets and return safely. But the mine isn't empty! Prepare to encounter its most sinister residents: giant spiders. Each player controls not only their adventurer but also a spider that moves between the mine's columns, weaving treacherous webs. These cardboard barriers can trap your adventurer, leaving them vulnerable to the spiders' attacks. Six bites and you're out! The lantern's light can scare away the spiders, but they can cooperate to strengthen their webs and make each other's job easier. A chaotic and fun experience, especially with the full group of six players, where survival strategy and gold hunting mix in a 1987 game that still captivates.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy
What is the average playtime?
The game is designed to last around 120 minutes, so set aside a good chunk of time for it!
How many players can participate?
Web of Gold works with 2 to 6 players. They say it gets even more chaotic and fun with 6!
Is this a difficult game to learn?
The complexity is considered low (1.70 out of 5 on BGG), but the interaction and spider rules might require a bit of attention during the first playthrough.
Are the 3D components complicated to assemble or use?
The 3D components are one of the game's highlights, creating a unique visual experience. Assembly is usually straightforward, and usage is intuitive, though they add an extra layer of immersion.
What is the main objective of the game?
The goal is to be the first to collect six gold nuggets and return to the mine's exit. If all adventurers are eliminated by spiders, the player with the most spider 'kills' wins.
Does the game involve a lot of luck or is it more strategy?
There's an element of luck, especially with dice rolls for collecting gold and spider attacks. However, managing your lantern, using webs, and strategic movement add a good dose of decision-making.
Who is this game recommended for?
It's recommended for those who enjoy games with a peculiar theme, interesting visual components, and plenty of direct, even if slightly chaotic, interaction. Ideal for those who don't mind a bit of luck and a longer game.
