Get your sleeping mask ready because you're about to dive into surrealism! In When I Dream, the table transforms into a dreamscape where logic is flexible and confusion is the rule. The dynamics are simple yet chaotic: each round, one player becomes the Dreamer and is blindfolded, while the others take on the roles of Spirits. But be careful, not everyone is on your side! There are Good Spirits, who try to guide the Dreamer, and Naughty Spirits, who do everything in their power to confuse the person who is sleeping. To spice things up, there are the Tricksters, who switch sides and seek a perfect balance between chaos and order.
The game is a race against the clock: in 120 seconds, the Spirits draw dream element cards and must describe them using only ONE word. The Dreamer tries to guess what the element is. If they get it right, the card goes to the Good Spirits' pile; if they get it wrong, it goes to the Naughty Spirits' pile. Tension rises as the Dreamer tries to filter who is telling the truth and who is just trying to sabotage their sleep. The fun doesn't end when time runs out: before opening their eyes, the Dreamer must use all the words they guessed to narrate their dream, creating an improvised story that can earn extra points. It's the kind of game that generates immediate laughter, where the group's imagination sets the pace and each match creates a unique and absurd story. Perfect for those looking for a fast, light party game with that hint of betrayal and deduction that keeps everyone suspicious.
