Get your survival instincts ready because Wooly Whammoth is that kind of 'bluff and guts' game that will make you laugh and frustrate you at the same time! Here, you control a tribe of cavemen trying to do something very specific: push giant mammoths off a cliff to secure dinner. But don't think it's just a simple task; it's a dangerous dance between strategy and chaos. The goal is to be the first to collect six Mammoth Meat tokens, but to refill your hand, you actually have to... eat a meat! It's a delicate balance between growing your resources and staying fed.
The gameplay is super engaging: all players have identical eight-card hands, but the final outcome depends on the sum of everything played simultaneously. You can try to speed up your movement or use modifiers to leave your opponents stranded. The modular board grows longer as the hunt progresses, which completely changes the game's rhythm. And if you can't get the meat, don't worry: you can also win by eliminating other players, pushing rival tribes into tar pits or under the feet of charging mammoths. It's a fast-paced game of quick decisions, perfect for those who love direct interaction and a little bit of 'take that' energy. If you enjoy agile card games where one wrong move could send you straight into the abyss, this is the game for you!
