Each player picks a handful of national teams – you can choose classic squads, current powerhouses, or even women’s teams – and receives game cards that represent typical actions: goals, corners, fouls, and other match events. These cards are played to sway the flow of multiple games happening at once, forcing you to decide where to focus your support each turn. Every team carries a unique special ability, such as an attack boost or defensive perk, adding distinct strategic flavors. The win condition is straightforward: guide one of your teams to lift the trophy at the tournament’s end. You can faithfully replay recent World Cups or create custom tournaments that pit teams from different eras against each other. Because everything is card‑based, setup and play are swift, yet there’s still room for meaningful decisions and a dash of luck. The design preserves the core of the original The World Cup Game while gaining portability and, for the first time, includes the Women’s World Cup.
