Each player starts with eight cards in hand and a personal X row set aside. Every turn all players reveal a card simultaneously; the revealed cards are then placed into three rows on the table – capable of holding three, four, or five cards – always inserting the lowest‑valued card first. When a row fills up, the player who placed the last card scoops up the whole row, taking negative points equal to the bullheads printed on those cards. The twist in X nimmt! is that when you take cards they go straight back into your hand, and you must also play a card into your personal X row. That X row must also be built in ascending order; if you can’t continue the sequence, you set the whole X row aside, but the bullhead values on those cards are doubled. The round ends when someone plays their final hand card; two rounds are played and the player with the fewest negative points wins.
