Get ready for a card duel that simulates the intensity of a fighting game! Yomi (Second Edition) brings the action to your table, replacing physical blows with mastery in hand management. Here, every card is a crucial decision, and the goal is to read your opponent as well as you know your own character. Think like a video game fighter: you need to master your combos, anticipate your opponent's moves, and exploit their weaknesses. Each fighter's deck is structured like a standard deck of cards: numbers are normal moves, face cards are specials, and aces are super moves, making it easy to learn. Yomi was designed for high-level play, with years of testing to ensure fair balance and exciting matches, whether in the classic 1v1, 2v2 team battles, or even in a solo mode against a game-controlled opponent. Rounds happen simultaneously: both players play a card face down, reveal, and resolve combat. Blocking gives you an advantage, hitting opens up combos, and dodging allows for a quick counter-attack. And there's more: a bluff phase lets you negate combos with a 'Joker' card! Discarding pairs or sequences can help you search for powerful 'Aces'. Victory comes when the opponent's life reaches zero or when their deck runs out, and you're in the lead. It's a game that tests your ability to assess card values in real-time and, of course, your skill in predicting your opponent's patterns.
