About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for a card battle that feels just like classic 2D fighting games! In BattleCON: War of Indines, you and a friend will choose from 18 characters, each with totally unique powers and playstyles. Every fighter has their own special cards and abilities, but they all use a base deck of moves and attacks that combine in super strategic ways. The goal is to build killer combos by merging your character's style cards with the basic cards, all while moving across a seven-space board. It's a game of pure tactics and mind-reading, because you know exactly what your opponent has in hand, but not which card they'll play! The 'Remastered' version offers a more unified art style and some balance adjustments, plus double-sided finisher cards. It's a fast-paced, intense game that makes you think with every move. And the best part: you can play it on its own or mix it with other BattleCON sets for even more fighter options and variations. If you enjoy card games with depth, strategic combat, and charismatic characters, BattleCON is for you!

Quick answers before you buy

6 questions
How many players does the game support?
BattleCON: War of Indines is primarily designed for 2 players, offering intense and strategic duels. Some variants and expansions might allow more, but the core game is for two.
How long does a game take to play?
Games are quite fast! They typically last between 15 to 60 minutes, depending on your familiarity with the characters and your ability to read your opponent.
Is the game difficult to learn?
The basic rules are relatively simple, but mastering each of the 18 characters takes time. The card-combining mechanic is intuitive, but the strategy behind each fighter requires dedication.
Do I need a translation to play?
Yes, the game has a lot of text on the cards, so a translation (or a Portuguese version, if available) is essential for comfortable play.
Can I play with someone who has never played before?
It's possible, but I recommend playing with someone who already has some experience or is willing to learn together. The learning curve for each character can be a bit steep at first.
Can I mix it with other BattleCON versions?
Absolutely! One of the great advantages of the BattleCON line is the ability to combine characters from different sets to create even more diverse matchups.
