About the game

What you do in a play session

Zooloretto: Christmas Gift is the 2010 holiday expansion that adds a festive twist to the classic animal-collecting game. The goal is straightforward: each player tries to fill a six‑slot enclosure to win the Christmas gift, while dealing with discarded tiles that stay locked there until the end. The twist is that when playing with other postcard expansions you must choose which bonus tile to take, adding a strategic choice layer. The game keeps the set‑collection and tile‑placement mechanics that make Zooloretto so accessible and fun. Final scoring comes from counting the tiles in the enclosure, so planning who places what is key. If you enjoy quick, 45‑minute games for 2–5 players, this expansion brings a “Santa Claus” vibe without extra complexity. It’s perfect for fans of the base who want a light, themed bonus for the holiday season. If you love collecting pieces and want a Christmas perk, you’ll enjoy it!
